We grow beyond organic.

what nature

We start with building the soil
Making sure our soil is full of the essential nutrients our plants and bodies need to thrive and stay healthy.
We only use what nature provides and we are continuously adding organic matter to the top of our soil, leaving the soil minimally disturbed.
We're all about keeping it natural and simple.

Our Mother trees
are protected
%20(5)_edited.png)
We preserve the mother trees so they can continue to pass on their superior genetics to their offspring and preserve the mycorrhizal network that they foster.
We're always learning more about the mycorrhizal network underground, we have discovered that planting near mother trees provides our seedling trees with many benefits. They share information, nutrients, water and so much more, we're seeing the advantages hands-on, and it's an amazing experience.
We will continue to protect our mother trees and plant directly into our forest floor with minimal disturbance, our goal is to tap into the underground ecosystem, giving our seedling trees the best opportunity to grow and thrive.

Preserving the soil biome

We practice no-till cultivation. We also advocate for no-till and minimal soil disturbance. However, we understand that each situation is unique, and in some instances and in certain climates some level of tillage or soil disturbance may be necessary. We are still ultimately opposed to the industrial and commercial level of tillage that is the modern norm.

No-Spray Farming
We do not use any sprays, even the so-called organic ones.

We are raising and breeding tilapia, and aquatic plants. Our aquatic plants keep the water clean, and they multiply prolifically, providing food to feed our chickens, fish, and plants. We also use the pond to water our gardens. We use no antibiotics, treatments, or commercial feed. Our aquaculture setup is a living biome and tends to take care of itself.

Working towards a biointensive food forest.

We want every plant packed full of essential vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and antioxidants our bodies need.

Zone 10 Food Forest

Growing in Florida has been an amazing experience! We've been planting medicinal plants, fruit trees, and of course a ton of seeds. We have ponds stocked with tilapia, aquatic plants, and feeder fish. While planting we are continuously composting and mulching around every plant and seed. Our goal is to grow and forage 100% of what we eat year-round with extra to share. We will continue to plant more every year.

There's Strength in Biodiversity

We work toward creating a balanced ecosystem in our food forest

Working with nature is a win-win for all!

Our Healthy Soil Helps Sequester Carbon

Our gardens begin 2 steps out the door.

We're always looking for ways to be more time-efficient. It became obvious to us that walking a couple steps out our door to pick a meal was the best way to save time and energy. That's one reason why we grow a huge variety of food so close to home.

Foraging For Wild Food
We are always discovering and learning about wild plants. We know it's worth our time to forage for nutritious food. We understand that they're more nutritious than their cultivated counterparts and have amazing medicinal benefits as well.

We Love Bamboo
There is bamboo for nearly every climate. We grow Oldhamii bamboo. After seeing this remarkable plant grow so quickly and provide us with an abundance of mulch, we knew we had to propagate it, plus it enhances the look of our food forest and provides cooking fuel and building materials, too.
